Edinburgh CND’s meeting at #ewjf2020 started with Linda Pearson from Don’t Bank on the Bomb discussing the links between nuclear weapons and environmental degradation and then focused in on the dangers posed by the ageing and disintegrating nuclear reactors at Hunterston on the west coast of Scotland.
This event at #ewjf2020 was organised by Edinburgh Campaign Against the Arms Trade and Edinburgh Stop the War Coalition
The second event at the 2020 EWJF was organised by ‘If Not Us Then Who’. It focused on the devastating impact that PlusPetrol’s drilling and extraction activities in Peru have had on indigenous people. Here’s one of the three films that were shared during the discussion.
