What We Offer

What we offer

The Edinburgh World Justice Festival provides a high-profile platform for world justice events. The high-quality programme of events creates a platform to attract publicity, sponsorship and media coverage.

We will produce and distribute the progamme and maintain the website. We have reserved some suitable venues and event organisers can request use of them on specific dates. Once confirmed the booking will be transferred to the organisation in question.

We aim to accommodate the maximum number of events proposals. However, where we identify two or more events with a similar message, we may ask organisations and individuals to work together to produce one event.
Although the EWJF programme and website will be seen by many people, the success and size of each event depends mostly on the efforts of the organisation putting it on. It is normally important to produce promotional material for each event and to publicise it separately as well.

Please not that this year, the EWJF 2010 will not provide stewards, nor organise stalls (see below) and each event will be entirely the responsibility of the organisation putting it on . However we have booked venues on that weekend and in the following week, which our budget will pay for. Once the programme is agreed and events allocated to venues we will pass over the liaison with the venue to the relevant organisation, who will sort out seating arrangements, use of equipment, tables for stalls etc.

How to collaborate

Planning Group

Participation in the Planning Group is open to all supporting organisations. Please consider sending a representative to the meetings which will take place at 7.30 pm on the fourth Monday of each month, in the Quaker Meeting House.

Donations

In order to cover our costs this year we will be asking participating organisations to identify themselves as supporters of the festival and to contribute a small donation. Supporting organisations will be listed on the programme. See below for suggested donations. We do not wish to exclude any contributors who meet our aims and values on the basis of cost. We would be happy to discuss any potential contributor for whom these cost represent a barrier to their participation

The suggested donnations for organizations taking part in the 2010 Festival are:

  • Large national organisation £100
  • Small national organisation
    £50
  •  Small local organization
    £25
  • Individual contributor No fee

These prices are only orientative. We do not wish to exclude any contributors who meet our aims and values on the basis of cost. We would be happy to liaise with any potential contributor for whom these costs represent a barrier to their participation.

Venues

The venues for the EWJF 2010 has been already booked. However, if you have a particular idea for a venue let us know.

Support on the day

The Edinburgh World Justice Festival planning group will do all we can to support the events. There will always be festival volunteers on hand to help set up and steward the events, but as we are all volunteers, many with full time jobs, it would be helpful to find out what support you would require and whether you or your organisation could provide any additional support staff on the day.

Stalls at events

We will hold a list of organisations which may wish to have stalls at EWJF events and will put them in touch with event organisers. Decisions on what stalls are at which events will be taken by event organisers. If you wish to have your request of offer of a stall at events to be circulated to the organisers of events, please send the relevant information to info@ewjf.org.uk.
